Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Architect scalable, maintainable full-stack applications with the MERN stack
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
- Set coding standards and conduct thorough code reviews
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers with structured guidance
Full-Stack Engineering
- Design and implement complex UI features using React.js, Next.js 14+, and TypeScript
- Build robust GraphQL and REST APIs with NestJS and Node.js
- Optimise MongoDB queries, design aggregation pipelines, and manage indexing
- Integrate third-party services, AI APIs, and USCIS data systems
Performance & Quality
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the stack
- Implement end-to-end test coverage with Jest, Cypress, and Playwright
- Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and system reliability improvements
- Define and monitor SLOs/SLAs for critical services
Agile & Delivery
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and QA in two-week sprints
- Break down complex features into actionable engineering tasks
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and process refinements
Requirements
- 5–10 years of professional full-stack development experience
- Expert-level proficiency in React.js, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript
- Deep experience with MongoDB including complex aggregations and performance tuning
- Strong GraphQL API design and implementation skills
- Proven experience with NestJS or similar enterprise Node.js frameworks
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of AWS or GCP cloud services
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building AI-integrated applications (OpenAI, LangChain, vector databases)
- Knowledge of Redis for caching and session management
- Familiarity with WebSocket / real-time systems
- Experience with legal-tech, immigration-tech, or SaaS B2B products
- Open-source contributions or published npm packages
